A family story shaped by Manihiki
Our story began in 1989 when George McLeod was inspired by his cousin Tere Kauraka to return to Manihiki from New Zealand and start pearl farming. Since then, McLeod Pearls has been built by family, guided by integrity and honesty, and strengthened through the hard seasons, including Cyclone Martin in 1997. Today, John and Apii carry on the legacy, reinvesting in the farm and producing beautiful Cook Islands cultured black pearls designed to be enjoyed and loved.
